💜 Looking After Our Community 💜

At Nannies 4 Grannies, we understand that scams and fraud are becoming increasingly common and can be worrying for both older adults and their families. We believe that raising awareness and sharing helpful information is one small way we can support our community and help keep people safe.

If you think you may have been affected by a scam, or if something simply doesn't feel right, it may be worth taking a few simple steps:

✅ Contact your bank if you notice any unusual transactions
✅ Change passwords, particularly for email and online banking accounts
✅ Check your credit report for any unexpected activity
✅ Be cautious of unexpected calls, emails or text messages asking for personal information
✅ Speak to a trusted family member, friend or professional if you're unsure

For those concerned about identity fraud, Cifas Protective Registration offers an additional layer of protection by requesting extra checks when applications are made in your name. There is currently a fee of £30 for two years' protection. [cifas.org.uk]

Useful sources of advice and support:

🔹 Cifas: https://www.cifas.org.uk
🔹 JustMe App: https://www.just-me.uk
🔹 Action Fraud: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk

Please remember that scams can affect anyone. There is never any shame in asking for advice or support. By looking out for ourselves and each other, we can help create a safer community for everyone.

💜 From all of us at Nannies 4 Grannies
