Upcoming Activities & Events

Our charity involvement:

This year, we are doing things a little differently. We are supporting two local charities; The Harpenden Trust and Age Concern St Albans.

In past years we have supported the Alzheimer’s Society and The Salvation Army.

We are proud to have been able to support many worthwhile and necessary causes, raising money through organised walks, tombola, games and collections.

Keep an eye on our Upcoming Activities & Events as this will show you where we will be in the next few months.

  • The Harpenden Trust provides help in a large variety of areas to elderly, at risk, families and single people in need. This includes financial support (in the form of food vouchers, white goods, school uniform vouchers etc), wellbeing and mental health support across all ages, befriending, outings. They also provide financial support to community projects. They have a Community Café called The Well Bean Café where everyone is welcome.

They run day centres enabling elderly and often disabled people to take part in a varied programme of social activities

  • For over 40 years, Alzheimer’s Society has been a powerful force for change, improving the lives of people living with dementia.

Over those crucial years they’ve nurtured their relationships with people living with the disease, to better understand the complexities of delivering support within a challenging health and social care system.

They’ve spent time listening to people who deal with the disease every day, and amplifying those voices to campaign governments for change.

They have also been at the forefront of science and research, backing the world’s brightest minds and funding life-changing breakthroughs.
